A little knowledge, every day.

Curiosity begins with the everyday.

Start with the full ingredient list

A front-of-pack description tells only part of the story. Read the full ingredient list and the allergen information for the exact product and pack you are considering. Check those details again when you buy a different brand or a new version.

Compare like with like

Pack prices are easier to compare when you also look at the amount in each pack. A price per 100 g, per kilogram or per serving can help—but only when the units and serving definitions match. Compare the product specifications as well as the price.

Plan for how you’ll use it

Before buying a specialist ingredient, think about your intended recipe, storage space and how quickly you will use it. Product-specific storage and preparation instructions should come from the product label.

Recipes are on their way

We will add recipes with clear ingredients and methods as they are prepared and checked. The first collection is still being developed.

Food, tradition and research

We are preparing ingredient guides with clearly identified traditional sources, scientific findings and practical food uses. Each guide will explain which preparation it describes and link to its references. We will add these as they are researched and reviewed.
